They say I've got one servo in the scrap heap.

I logged on for the first time in a week yesterday and was totally, totally shocked. Iacon Archives, my RP basegroup, had officially booted my character, TFA (Malgus) Ratchet, from the official group. 

Now, I’m not entirely surprised. Iacon had been getting more and more exacting over the last six months while I had been getting more and more lax about updating. However, at the same time, I had absolutely no notifications that this was happening and while I understand I have the chance to appeal, I don’t know why I would.

I am disappointed. I made clear from the beginning with my character that I had no laptop and I would have to post from classes or work where I had access to the internet. I had also made clear I would try my best to comply with everything Iacon asked for.

When I log back on, with no idea what to expect, because someone OUTSIDE the RP on my PERSONAL messaged me, asking if “that Ratchet was the same one”, I was entirely shocked and incredibly hurt. I wish I understood what I could do to fix this, but I think we’re approaching RP from two different directions.

I understand the need to update, but I literally don’t have a computer with access to Tumblr except on Mondays and Fridays. I understand the needs to keep the RP within reasonable limits, but to BAN people from interacting? I think that’s a little cruel. And I understand the need to remove the dead, but to extend the metaphor, you can remove those who are sleeping or unable to respond just as easily, who are still wanting to be part of a very creative attempt to interact with others of the same fandom.
